Straight Course AI is run by Stuart Hosie, a sole trader based in Cornwall. I am the data controller for the personal information described here. You can reach me at hello@straightcourse.ai.

What I collect

Contact form: your name, business name, email address, phone number if you give it, type of business and your message.
Free guide request: your email address, and whether you ticked the box asking for occasional tips.
Client work: the information you choose to share with me during an audit, workshop or coaching programme.

This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies.

How I use it

To reply to your enquiry and arrange a call, because you asked me to (legitimate interests, and steps before a contract).
To give you the guide you asked for. I only email you tips afterwards if you ticked the box, and you can stop them at any time by replying to say so.
To deliver the services you book and to keep the business records the law requires (contract and legal obligation).

Who sees it

Only me, plus the companies that provide my website hosting, form handling and email (Cloudflare for the website and form handling). They process the data on my instructions. Some of them store data outside the UK, under the safeguards UK data protection law requires. I never sell your information.

How long I keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 12 months. Client and financial records are kept for six years after the end of the tax year they relate to, as HMRC requires.

Client information and AI tools

Before any information from your business goes into an AI tool, we agree in writing which tools are used and what may be entered. Personal data about your customers or staff is not entered into AI tools without that agreement.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to how I use it. Email hello@straightcourse.ai and I will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with my answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
